چکیده

Abstract This paper presents calculated ground motions for Merangin Kerinci in the Provinsi of Jambi Sumatera. The were using a probabilistic seismic hazard analysis. earthquake catalogue used analysis included all recorded earthquakes up to end July 2019, trimmed magnitude completeness. Uncertainty input parameters was considered logic tree, with branches including shallow crustal faults Great Sumatran Faults and Sumatera Megathrust Subduction. Ground are presented local site conditions, measured at those sites which can be classified as Site Class D/C (stiff soil Soft Rock/Very Dense Soil). motions, Peak Acceleration (PGA), spectral accelerations periods ranging from 0.1 s 10.0s site. Data return 175 years, 475 2,500 5,000 10,000 years PSHA, mean, 50 th , 84 percentile confidence levels DSHA. Compared Indonesian Seismic Hazard Map (ISHM) 2017 (at DSHA 5% damping 84th Percentile), deterministic PGA values this study relatively closed, is accounted 0.58g found compared range 0.6g – 0.7 ISHM 2017. On other hand, particular period (SEE), assessment 0.73g lower than 0.8g 0.9g

Deterministic seismic hazard analysis for Peshawar, Pakistan

Ground motion estimation for a site (34.01 o N, 71.45 o E) located in the Peshawar in terms of Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA) values is conducted. It is carried out with deterministic seismic hazard analysis approach using faults sources within a radius of one hundred kilometers around site. The results of this study indicate that the Main Boundary Thrust located at a distance of twenty nine (2...

Capturing the Uncertainty of Seismic Activity Rates in Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Assessments

A new two-step approach is proposed to quantify the uncertainties of the seismicity rate ν(M) estimated by Gutenberg-Richter relations of seismic area source zones in logic tree-driven probabilistic seismic hazard analysis. The first step makes use of the possibility that the uncertainties of the Gutenberg-Richter parameters α and β (or a and b), expressed by their covariance matrix C(α, β) (or...

Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis for Ground Shaking

Foreword The purpose of the Delta Risk Management Strategy (DRMS) Initial Technical Framework (ITF) is to guide the analysis of specific technical topics as they relate to assessing potential risks to Delta levees and assets resulting from various potential impacts (e.g., floods, earthquakes, subsidence, and climate change). These ITFs are considered " starting points " for the work that is to ...

Seismic-Hazard Assessment for a Characteristic Earthquake Scenario: An Integrated Probabilistic–Deterministic Method

Probabilistic seismic hazard analysis (PSHA) is classically performed through the Cornell approach by using a uniform earthquake distribution over the source area and a given magnitude range. This study aims at extending the PSHA approach to the case of a characteristic earthquake scenario associated with an active fault. The approach integrates PSHA with a high-frequency deterministic techniqu...
